About Us

Renewable energy and environmental sustainability as the focus for future urban development

IEM is driven by the vision of a "Sustainable, fully self-powered, green city of the future" focused around the concepts of  Humanity, Environment and Technology.  

IEM will open an R&D center to research various renewable energy and CO2 abatement technologies as part of our efforts to realize a carbon free city.  This innovation center will promote industry and international collaborations to carry out the research and development of next-generation technologies and ideas.

Our Team
IEM's core team consists of professionals that are focused on realizing our zero emission city project. Utilizing the various resources and expert network that each team member has built through the combined 90 years of experience, we will continue to grow the team with qualified personnel who can drive us closer to our goals.
Chairman of the Board
Katsuhisa Sato

Born in Ichinomiya City, Aichi Prefecture in 1942
1965 Graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University Faculty of Economics

 

After joining Mori Building Co., Ltd. in 1965, Katsuhisa took over as Managing Director and General Manager of Laforet Shuzenji at Mori Building Tourism Co., Ltd. (currently Mori Trust Hotels & Resorts), and later became Director at Laforet Harajuku.  He was involved in the development of both the Ark Hills and the Roppongi Hills projects and was then was appointed to Managing Director of Laforet Harajuku and Managing Director of Mori Building Distribution System Co., Ltd.  He was also an integral part of the Venus Fort project, before becoming the president and designer of El Factory and starting an incubation business.

Key Yokota

Born in Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture in 1957
1982 Graduated from the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics, Hosei University


Key was part of Itochu Shoji Co., Ltd and Takiron CI Col, Ltd for 38 years and he is knowledgeable in the metal, chemical (organic/inorganic), electrical, and energy fields.  He has held roles covering multiple industries in Japan, the USA, the Philippines, and China, developing new markets and establishing local manufacturing facilities.   Key's experience in business development and his experience abroad will help lead IEM, its customers, and partners, toward our zero emissions goals.
